iOS 11 is An Affair My Wife’s Friend 2 (2019)coming next month, and it's going to be the mother of all releases.

To prepare everyone, Apple has already started sending out notifications to iOS users through the Tips app inviting them to learn more about the various new changes coming in iOS 11.

MashableTech Editor Pete Pachal and other users started seeing the notification on Tuesday. If you removed the app (like I did because I know how to use my phone, thank you very much) from your iOS device, you will not receive the notifications.

Apple first announced iOS at WWDC in June and has been seeding developer and public betas for it ever since. We've been using the betas, and they've gradually been getting better and more stabile, which is a good sign that we're very close to a public release.

Apple usually releases new versions of iOS a few days prior to the launch of new iPhones. This year, Apple will announce the new iPhone on Sept. 12 at the Steve Jobs Theater at its new Apple Park campus.

And if Apple follows previous release cycles, the new iPhone could be released as soon as Sept. 22, which means iOS 11 would probably arrive that same week.
