Life is Belgiumlike a box of timelines, and in the one we're living in, Russian Dollis coming back for another round.

Netflix announced Tuesday that it had renewed the surreal dramedy for a second season.

On the one hand, the first season of Russian Dollwas one of the best and buzziest shows of 2019, thanks to a genuinely original premise and uniformly strong performances by Natasha Lyonne, Charlie Barnett, and the rest of the cast.

We're still trying (and failing) to replicate the sheer coolness of Nadia's wardrobe, yelling "Sweet birthday, baby!" instead of "Happy birthday" at our loved ones, and appreciating the very concept of Thursdays once a week. That's how much we loved and still love the show. Who could possibly argue with this wonderful series coming back?

On the other, well ... we can. Kinda. Russian Doll's first season ended on the perfect note of ambiguity and hard-earned hope. Nadia and Alan finally found a way to break out of their cycles! We're not rooting for them to find themselves caught in anothertime loop.

But we're getting ahead of ourselves. No plot details have been revealed at this point, so all we can do is hope Lyonne, Leslye Headland, Amy Poehler, and the rest of the team have come up with another truly special idea.

And if not? Well, time to create our own loop by firing up Season 1 again. Gotta get up, gotta get out, gotta get home before the morning comes ...
